4D DESIGN

The 4th Dimension we are referring to  is Awareness that everything on our planet is interconnected. Every action has a consequence, and every building material was sourced from the earth and assembled by human hands.  Each wall angle and proportion affects our psyche, and the interrelationship of buildings tells us much about the nature of our society.  

4D Design is an evolution of our current thinking about sustainability, green building and the physical impact of buildings on the environment.  It incorporates the human experience both as an individual and in community, and is geometrically based on the principles of nature.

We reject the basic tenets of functionalism, and believe that psychological, spiritual and ergonomic needs are not met by simply checking  boxes or using a few recycled materials. The shelter in which we live and work should embody the principles of our community and our being, and this alignment results in greater peace, wellness and strength. 

In this age of conscious living, we must come to understand that environment is as important as nutrition.
